It's time to check out Midnight Syndicate Live!

In order to really engross the audience, one needs the perfect music and sounds that really draw the senses into the scene.Stationed out of Chardon, Ohio, a duo called Midnight Syndicate has been creating professional studio albums since the late 1990s that you have likely heard in movies and haunted houses around the U.S. Each album tells a story through instrumental music and sound effects that dig you deeper into the Halloween experience.In addition to Hollywood, the amusement park industry also took notice by incorporating its music into various scenes and attractions.In 2014, Cedar Point teamed up with Midnight Syndicate to bring its music as a visual stage show in the former Good Time Theater, where Valravn sits today. The show was good. and it was our first experience with the composers. Guests really enjoyed the new show, but the fate was sealed when the building was razed...or was it?In March 2017, Midnight Syndicate announced it would return to Cedar Point for the 21st season of HalloWeekends in the Jack Aldrich Theater.In early May 2017, filming for the video sequences took place inside Cedar Point. Alex Chubokas is a local super-fan of Midnight Syndicate, who happens to be an actor during the filming sequences used in the show."Getting to be a part of the Midnight Syndicate Live! show was sort of a dream come true," Chubokas said. "After meeting Ed and Gavin in 2014, I fell in love with their music, even more than I already was. And getting the chance to see how the films were created, and seeing all of the behind the scenes action, I know it was an experience I will never forget."The new setting inside Jack Aldrich Theater is the perfect venue, which provides the right amount of intimacy to bring the storyline to life. If there is one show to see this season, it is Midnight Syndicate.We asked Midnight Syndicate composers Gavin Goszka and Edward Douglas about how the new venue is different than that used in 2014:• Goszka: "I think that every performance space has its own unique character, and we definitely wanted to take full advantage of the more intimate feel of the Jack Aldrich Theater. We're able to do some things here performance-wise that simply wouldn't have worked in a larger venue, and the fact that the audience is physically closer to the stage will hopefully pull them into the show in a very powerful and immersive way."Douglas: "We have a brand new set list and story for this show so that alone makes this show a completely different experience from the last time we were out here. I am extremely excited about the changes we've made. Having the opportunity to once again work with Cedar Point has been excellent at every stage of the production. I think audiences are in for a real treat."See Midnight Syndicate Live! Fridays (8:00, 9:15, 10:30 p.m.), Saturdays (2:45, 5:00, 6:30, 8:00, 9:30 p.m.), and Sundays (1:45, 3:00, 5:30, 6:45 p.m.) through October 29, 2017.
