VIDEO: Director Todd Stephens dishes out details on 'Swan Song'

SANDUSKY — Film writer and director Todd Stephens wants to make his newest film, "Swan Song," in his hometown, not glitzy Hollywood or fast-paced New York."I've always been inspired by Sandusky," Stephens said. "I have a love for my hometown." Stephens appeared Wednesday on "Between the Lines," the Register's public affairs program, to speak about upcoming events. Stephens also directed the independent film "Edge of Seventeen" and "Gypsy 83.A crew will be in Sandusky putting Stephens' "Swan Song" story onto film with hopes of being discovered by a distributor at a film festival."We don't have a distributor yet," Stephens said. "We hope somebody buys it and distributes it."Filming, which will take place in multiple locations in Sandusky, will start in July.Stephens wants the movie to be finished by the end of this year."I know we want to do a premiere at the Sandusky State Theatre at some point," Stephens said.
