Building to expand Windamere subdivision

PERKINS TWP. — Builders want to enlarge a relatively new neighborhood.Not too long ago, local officials received an application from Carben Jewel Development Co. to create "Windamere No. 5 Subdivision," which is comprised of 23 lots for single-family homes. The expansion area branches off and represents an extension of Windamere's overall subdivision, located off Campbell Street, in Perkins Township.Construction recently started on three homes within the area."The township sees this project as a positive sign that people are moving into our township and building new homes," said Megan Sherlund, Perkins' planner and zoning inspector.
