SANDUSKY • Sandusky Schools announced 14 students earned associate's degrees before graduating from high school. Eight of the graduates walked at Bowling Green State University's recent graduation ceremony. • Sandusky High School students won gold at SkillsUSA in drones. CLYDE-GREEN SPRINGS • McPherson Middle School announced the April students of the month: — Isabelle Mosier and Joey Richards were the sixth-grade students of the month. — Ava Goble and Cole Hoover were the seventh-grade students of the month. — Marisa Gaietto and Josh Osborne were the eighth-grade students of the month. The middle school also recognized two exploratory students and two club members for January: — Bailey Hicks and Everett Nobles were awarded as exploratory students of the month. — Miranda Moore from the Spirit Club and Rylee Zontini from FFA were club members of the month. The middle school honors athletes each week: Cam Crockett, Darren Johnson, Gretta Framstad and Brynn Blackburn were recently recognized for track. NORWALK • Norwalk Schools' Teen Leadership Corps students helped out at When Pigs Fly, a boutique in support of The Piggyback Foundation. • Norwalk High School's student council showed appreciation for teachers and staff by passing out treats. BELLEVUE • Bellevue High School senior Caleb Martin was elected as vice president of the Ohio FFA. • Belleuve Schools announced its 2026 prom court: Emerson Snyder, Jakob Gerhardstein, Kyler LaBenne, Matthew Kreh, Hallie McCarthy, Nolan Hartman, Amerie Wagner and Billy Sberna. MARGARETTA • Margaretta High School junior Cade McClory designed and painted a polar bear recycling symbol for the school's cans and bottle containers. The project was in collaboration with Brian Ringholz's environmental science class and Jessica Skinner's art class. PERKINS • Perkins High School's chorale sang the national anthem at a Toledo Mud Hens game. ST. PAUL HIGH SCHOOL • St. Paul High School announced its top 10 students of 2026: Aubrey Dilger, Allyson Takacs, Charlotte Hosack, Andrew Schuh, Nicholas Pocos, Landon Fries, Isabelle Rizzo, Brianna Cervantes, Jillian Weilnau and Nathaniel Sandor. • Nancy Miller was named the 2026 recipient of the Agnes Stoll Riley Culture of Excellence in Teaching Award. This award goes to educators who empower students and exemplify excellence in teaching. EDISON • Edison High School students explored medical careers at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. Students practiced intubating patients, performing laparoscopic surgery, administering CPR and correctly using an AED. The college of pharmacy also taught the students how to prepare insulin injections, and current medical students shared their knowledge and experience on a variety of topics during a gross anatomy lab and plastination museum visit. NORWALK ELKS 730 • Norwalk Elks 730 recognized the following students at its Elks Youth Banquet. — Students of the month: Kayli Bergman, Audrey Dilger, Ethan Pomerich, Katelyn Libertowski, Julieta De Loera Figueroa, Addison Lunsford, Alex Hamons and Brooke Heyman — Soccer accomplishments: Violet VanDresser — Basketball accomplishments: Nathan Winkler — Americanism Essay Contest: Dylan Kline, Natalie Schoewe and Gabriella Johnson FIRELANDS ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE • Phil Pickering gave a New London Schools preschool student a look at a bucket truck. SANDUSKY CENTRAL CATHOLIC SCHOOL St. Mary Central Catholic High School hosted a senior farewell Mass and May crowning.
