PREP ROUNDUP: Edison shuts out PC to clinch Bay

PORT CLINTON — Eli Hermes threw a two-hit shutdown to lead Edison to a 9-0 win over Port Clinton, clinching another Sandusky Bay Conference Bay Division baseball championship for the Chargers. Hermes struck out 13 PC batters as Edison improved to 13-3 overall and finished 9-1 in the Bay. The win clinched Edison's fifth straight Bay title. Margaretta can tie for first with a win next Tuesday against Willard. Owen Price went 3 for 3 with a double, scored three runs and had a RBI for the Chargers. Ethan Smiley was 3 for 4 with a double and scored twice for the Eagles. Erickson Pisano singled with two RBI and Reid Wasserman and Tristan Wise each singled and drove in a run.
