Golden Corral opening Monday

PERKINS TWP. — The gold-standard of buffet restaurants opens its doors in Sandusky.After months of anticipation, Golden Corral is officially opening at 9 a.m. Monday, franchise owner Tony Puckett said. He also owns the Golden Corral in Toledo, but the Sandusky location is closer to home for him, both metaphorically and literally."I was born and raised in Marblehead and still live there, which was reason enough to open a location in Sandusky," Puckett said. "It's closer to home."The new Golden Corral is on Milan Road in the old Ryan's Buffet building across the street from Mad River Harley-Davidson.
