Report: Suspect hit pregnant woman with a car

SANDUSKY — Police charged a Sandusky woman with felonies after she allegedly swerved her vehicle at a pregnant woman and hit her legs.Officers arrested Alexis McPeek, 18, Friday on two felony charges: felonious assault and attempted vehicular assault.The alleged incident occurred April 3 in a parking lot of a Tiffin Avenue business, according to a Sandusky police report. The incident was captured on the business' cameras.Police said video showed the victim and another woman walking toward a vehicle that was there to pick them up when a red Dodge swerved into the victim at a "fairly slow rate of speed," and allegedly hit the victim's legs with the car's bumper, according to the report.The victim, who said she was pregnant, told law enforcement she was not hurt, the report states. She claimed McPeek was allegedly upset with her because of a person she was dating.McPeek turned herself in at the Sandusky police station Friday.
