Ottawa County indicts 20

PORT CLINTON — An Ottawa County grand jury recently indicted 20 people for crimes allegedly committed in the area.Brandon Fick, 25, and Kelsey Bowen, 24, both of Port Clinton, were among the indicted after they allegedly tried to smuggle drugs into the Ottawa County jail in October.They each face a charge of illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility. Fick has an additional charge of complicity to convey drugs into a detention facility and Bowen has an unrelated charge of complicity to the theft of $7,500 from an elderly person.Fick is a accused of smuggling a controlled substance into the jail when he was arrested last month on charges of burglary and theft from a person in a protected class, according to the Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office. He then allegedly conspired with Bowen to get more drugs into the jail.They both pleaded not guilty to the charges in the Ottawa County Common Pleas Court. Fick is held in the Ottawa County jail, but Bowen was released after paying her $10,000 bond.Others recently indicted include:• Amanda Mishler, 39, who's held in the county jail, drug trafficking, drug possession, OVI and child endangerment• Willard Barnett, 59, who's held in the county jail, drug trafficking and two counts of dangerous drug possession• Daniel Kitzler, Jr., 32, who's held in the county jail, inducing panic• Hailey McClellan, 23, who's held in the county jail, escape• Kelli Hope, 42, of Olmsted Falls, three counts of drug possession and one count of drug abuse instrument possession• Zachary Sutherland, 24, of Oak harbor, burglary and theft• Kevin Stavnicky, 52, of Port Clinton, domestic violence• Robert Rodriguez, 38, who's held in the county jail, drug possession, inducing panic and two counts of child endangerment• Brian Freimark, 33, who's held in the county jail, two counts each of domestic violence and child endangerment• Tammy Bengela, of Curtice, 47, assault and several misdemeanor traffic violations• Robert Bays, Jr., 43, of Port Clinton, failure to provide change of address• Terrence Flynn, 42, of Port Clinton, importuning, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and two counts of gross sexual imposition.• Stacy Robinson, 40, who is held in the Seneca County jail, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and numerous counts of breaking and entering, theft and safecracking.• David Myers, 46, who is held in the Seneca County jail, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and numerous counts of breaking and entering, theft and safecracking.• Bryan Blankenship, 41, who is held in the Seneca County jail, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and numerous counts of breaking and entering, theft and safecracking.• Kayla Lane, 21, of Fremont, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and dozens of charges connected to entries into storage units• Bryce Miller, 23, of Fremont, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and dozens of charges connected to entries into storage units• Obediah Mullaney, 29, who is held in the Ottawa County jail, obstructing official business, inducing panic and drug possessionAn indictment is merely a formal charge and does not denote guilt or innocence.Reach reporter Michael Harrington at michaelharrington@sanduskyregister.com, follow the Register at Facebook.com/SanduskyRegisterLeft to right: Fick and Bowen
