ODNR to limit wildlife area access

FINDLAY — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife has announced it will temporarily control access to portions of four local wildlife areas in order to provide quality hunting experiences for Ohio's sportsmen and women:• Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, Oak Harbor — The entrance road to Magee Marsh will be closed to the public on most days from Oct. 2-28 and Nov. 6-Dec. 9. The Sportsman's Migratory Bird Center will remain open.• Pickerel Creek Wildlife Area, Vickery — Pickerel Creek will be closed to the public from Aug. 28-Sept. 16 and from Oct. 2-Dec. 13.• Pipe Creek Wildlife Area, Sandusky — Pipe Creek will close to the public from Aug. 28-Sept. 18 and from Oct. 2-Feb. 12, 2018• Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve, East Huron — Old Woman Creek will be closed to the public on Dec. 9 and Jan. 13 The ODNR also said the Toussaint Wildlife Area, about 5 miles north of Oak Harbor, is undergoing construction for the next two years and will not be conducive to waterfowl hunting.
