Dana Downs

MICHIGAN — Dana Downs, 58, residing in Michigan, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, after a brief illness.He was born March 1, 1960, in Sandusky, to Denzel Downs and June (Bauer) Downs. Dana was a graduate of Perkins High School and worked for Summit Polymers as a supervisor in Michigan. He married the love of his life, Theresa Walker, Oct. 4, 1986, and had two beautiful children, Samantha and Jacob. Dana played English darts, was on the pool league, liked fishing, golf and his family. He loved traveling to the Great Lakes lighthouses and casinos. He also loved the Browns and Ohio State teams. He is survived by his mother, June Downs; wife, Theresa (Walker) Downs; children, Samantha and Jacob; brothers, David (Kathy) Downs, Douglas Downs and Jeffrey (Valerie) Downs; sister, Dianne McGee; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Dana was preceded in death by his father, Denzel Downs; and stepmother, June Downs. The family is hosting a memorial gathering, 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Chet & Matt's Pizza, 1013 E. Strub Road, Sandusky. All are invited to join in remembering Dana and the man he was.
