Boppin' on the Basin Final Concert returns Saturday

HURON — Swamps of Jersey, Ohio's premier Bruce Springsteen tribute band, will perform at the Huron Boat Basin this weekend. The final concert show for the 2018 concert series, Boppin' on the Basin, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.The free concert — featuring music genres ranging from jazz to country, blues and classic rock and roll— has enriched the city of Huron since 1997, said Douglas Steinwart, operation manager of Huron Parks & Recreation.Swamps of Jersey will return to Huron for their third time to perform in the area with one goal in mind — to pay tribute to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.Huron feels it is important to offer free live entertainment with a extraordinary gathering space for residents and visitors to get together while enjoying the waterfront and live music, Steinwart said."The Huron Boat Basin is a great venue location considering the marina backdrop near the river, allowing individuals to have a great all-around experience," Steinwart said.Reach the Register at news@sanduskyregister.com.
