A ribbon-cutting for kayaks, pirates, barbecue

FREMONT — The Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for three different businesses — Ghoul Runnings Kayak Adventures, Ohio Pirate Con and Dallas Southern Comfort Catering & Events — on their new Fremont headquarters, 446 N. Wood St. "From pirate hats to southern BBQ, this one brought together everything they're building under one roof," according to a chamber statement. "Bob and Beth Turner are the driving force behind Ohio Pirate Con, returning July 24-26 at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds, along with Ghoul Runnings Kayak Adventures, offering kayaking trips, sunset floats and group experiences along the Sandusky River," the statement read. "The new space also serves as home to Dallas Southern Comfort Catering & Events, adding even more to their lineup with southern barbecue and event offerings." The chamber wished Bob and Beth the best of luck. "If you know Bob and Beth, you know they're always building something, and this next chapter is already well underway," the statement read.
