PREP ROUNDUP: Bellevue's Hay throws no-hitter against Columbian

TIFFIN — Bellevue sophomore pitcher Mallory Hay fired a five-inning softball no-hitter, lifting Bellevue to a 17-0 Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division win over Tiffin Columbian. Hay struck out 11, walking one for the Lady Red (8-8, 4-2 SBC Lake). MyahAnn Reesman hit two home runs for Bellevue, adding a single while driving in five runs. Taylor Waldrup tallied four singles and two runs scored while Lianna Sosa singled twice, doubled and scored three runs. HR: (B) Reesman 2 Norwalk 7, Clyde 5 CLYDE — The Truckers scored two insurance runs in the top of the seventh and needed them in the Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division win. Norwalk (8-9, 4-2 SBC Lake) trailed 2-0 early, but scored five unearned runs in the top of the fourth inning. Clyde (8-7, 4-1) got within 5-3, but the Truckers made it 7-3 going into the bottom of the seventh inning. Maddie Gamble singled twice and doubled for Norwalk while Alexis Dellisanti singled, doubled and scored twice. Scarlet Schneider added a single and double while Caymen Mercer doubled and drove in three runs. Saige Viock picked up the win, going 6 1/3 innings. She allowed one earned run on three hits and 10 walks while striking out five. Teaghan Smith singled and scored twice for Clyde, which defeated Norwalk 18-3 earlier this season. Sutherland allowed an unearned run on three hits for Bellevue (9-5, 4-2 SBC Lake). Ike Brown singled twice and drove in two runs for the Redmen. Danbury 5, New Riegel 4 NEW RIEGEL — The Lakers made two Sandusky Bay Conference River Division wins in a row with the road win over New Riegel. Danbury (8-7, 2-6 SBC River) trailed 4-2 entering the top of the seventh, but scored three runs to take the lead. Ridge Wilhite scored on a passed ball for the go-ahead run. Logan Shepherd logged two doubles and a run scored for the Lakers while Evan Sandvick had two singles and a run scored. Dylan Kenley picked up the win despite giving up three runs in the bottom of the sixth. He struck out three in 2 1/3 innings. Tommy Dean gave up one unearned run in 4 2/3 innings, striking out seven.
