PREP ROUNDUP: Clyde, PC clinch SBC tennis titles

SANDUSKY — Clyde defeated Sandusky 4-1 on Tuesday to clinch the Fliers' third straight Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division boys tennis title. The Fliers improved to 12-1 overall and 9-0 in the Lake. "The third consecutive SBC Lake title is a first for the program and is the perfect way to conclude our final year of the conference," Clyde coach Jeff MacFarland said. "I am incredibly proud of these athletes for their performance this season and the dedication they've shown over the last several years." First singles player Aric Kauble won in straight sets to record his 100th career victory. He is the first Clyde player to reach that milestone. "We only returned three of seven varsity players from last year's team. Willard returned five of seven from last year's team that won the conference, including all of their singles players.
