2 found dead on boat in Marblehead

MARBLEHEAD — A husband and wife were found dead Sunday at a marina in Marblehead.John Seyfang II, 49, and Joellynn "Jodi" Johnston-Seyfang, 54, both of Stoutsville, died on their boat, said Stephanie Leis, spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, which is investigating the case.At about 8:45 a.m., a neighbor found the Seyfangs dead on their boat docked at Bay Point Resort and Marina near Marblehead. Their dog, Prudence, was also found dead on the boat. The Columbus Dispatch reported the boat was 40-foot cabin-cruiser-style vessel.The couple owned several businesses in Pickaway County including Seyfang Electrical, Frontgate Properties and Aufait Touch Day Spa.Their friends took to social media Monday to share their grief with the family. One friend posted on Facebook, "I know our little town and beyond will be greatly affected by this loss ... They loved life and loved each other. You two will be missed greatly. My heart pours out love and prayers to their children, grandchildren, families and friends."The bodies were taken to the Lucas County Coroner's Office to determine a cause of death, but carbon monoxide poisoning is suspected as a possible cause, Leis said.
