Owners to rip up lease with Milan Road Bar & Grill operators

SANDUSKY — The Milan Road Bar & Grill might never open again.Property owners intend to terminate their lease with those running the business, located at 1504 Milan Road, where an early Sunday shootout left five people injured.Fresch family members, who own the property, informed Sandusky city commissioner Dick Brady about their plans to "lock out" its leaseholders. Sandusky police Detective Ron Brotherton said Eugene Nicholson and Garrett White run the business."They are in complete agreement they will pursue the legal process of finding their tenants in default of their lease and close the lease out," Brady said. "They will effectively kick them out as fast as they possibly can."A message for Nicholson, left Sunday afternoon on his personal Facebook page, went unanswered as of late Monday.If the Fresch family doesn't terminate this lease, commissioners could pursue legal action to shut it down. In Sandusky, police must receive at least four calls within a 30-day period to begin the process of closing an establishment for committing nuisance-related violations.
