Sandusky Gazebo Concert Series starts Tuesday

SANDUSKY — Live music will fill the air during the summer months at Washington Park in Sandusky.This year's Sandusky Gazebo Concert Series will host different types of musical performances throughout the summer. The series starts 7 p.m. Tuesday with a performance by Firelands Chorus. The entire event is sponsored by the Sandusky Community Celebrations Council and the First Presbyterian Church-Doerzbach Trust Fund.The other concerts, 16 in all, will entertain individuals at the gazebo downtown on the courthouse lawn.All scheduled concert dates take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays except for a special Fourth of July celebration, occurring on Wednesday with multiple performances taking place throughout the day:• Tuesday featuring the Firelands Chorus• June 19 featuring the Olde Mill Brass Quartet• June 26 featuring the North Coast Concert Band• July 4 at the following times:— 10 a.m. featuring the Sandusky Middle School School seventh grade band— 10:30 a.m. featuring the Sandusky Middle School eighth grade band— 11 a.m. featuring the Sandusky High School's Blue Notes Jazz— 12 p.m. featuring the Sandusky marching band and children's bicycle parade— 12:30 p.m. featuring the Sandusky Masons 200th anniversary celebration— 2 p.m. featuring the Erie County OSU Alumni Band— 3 p.m. featuring the J-Markz• July 10 featuring the Wayne Golob Polka Band• July 17 featuring the Vacationland Band• July 24 featuring the Dana Dorsey and the Blue Notes• July 31 featuring the Pantasia Steel Drum Band• Aug. 7 featuring the North Coast Big Band• Aug. 14 featuring the Erie County OSU Alumni BandIn the event of inclement weather, a concert may be canceled.The Erie County OSU Alumni Band performs for community members at the gazebo in Washington Park on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017. The series returns for another installment in 2018 with several weekly events scheduled from June through August, including several performances on Fourth of July.
