Police: Man hides cocaine in underwear

SANDUSKY — Police arrested a Sandusky man Wednesday after he allegedly hid cocaine in his underwear.Willie Rash, 35, of the 500 block of Tiffin Ave., was charged with cocaine trafficking, cocaine possession, driving under suspension and a bench warrant.During a drug investigation, police witnessed Rash leave his home just after 11 a.m. and drive down West Jefferson Street, according to a Sandusky police report.The officers knew he had a bench warrant out for his arrest and a suspended license. When Rash allegedly turned around and saw the officers, they claimed he quickly turned down Harrison Street and pulled into a driveway.He then got out of the car and put his hand down his pants as he tried to walk away, the report states. But the officers stopped him and took him into custody for the warrant.When officers asked what he hid in his pants, he allegedly told them it was cocaine. After they searched Rash, they allegedly found more than $1,000 in cash and an Ohio Direction Card in someone else's name. The police seized the cash.Rash then removed a gram of suspected cocaine from his underwear and turned it over to police, according to the report.
