Man pleads down public indecency case

PERKINS TWP. — A Worthington man who was charged with felony public indecency took a plea deal in which he was convicted of a misdemeanor. Tony R. Harn, 67, of the 100 block of Grandall Drive, pleaded guilty in February to one amended second-degree misdemeanor count of public indecency. He had been charged with a fifth-degree felony after he reportedly exposed himself in a woman's restroom in a building in the 2500 block of W. Strub Road, On Jan. 20, a 55-year-old woman filed a report stating that when she entered a restroom at the business, Harn was already within and exposed his genitals to her. Perkins police posted a still image from a security video outside the restroom on social media and asked for the public's assistance in identifying the man. Harn was identified and arrested in Urbana, Ohio, on Jan. 31. Perkins police went to the Tri-County regional jail and returned Harn to Erie County. Harn was sentenced to 90 days in jail with all but 11 days suspended. He then received 11 days of jail time credit. He was also ordered to pay fines and court costs of $431. As of late Friday, he has not made any payments toward that amount. Harn was further ordered to get a mental health assessment and follow all recommendations by counselors.
