Lawrence E. 'Bundy' Ross Sr.

NORWALK — Lawrence E. "Bundy" Ross Sr., 88, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018, in his home, surrounded by family.Larry was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio, Jan. 29, 1930, to Arthur W. and Bess (Sharen) Ross. Larry served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked at Maxie Tire, in Norwalk, for 39 years, retiring in 1993.He enjoyed spending time with his family, going fishing, flea markets, traveling to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., going to the casinos, making wood crafts, and spending time in Amish country.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Norma J. (Hammersmith) Ross; sons, Arthur E. (Molly) Ross of Norwalk, Anthony (Wendy) Ross of Huron; daughter, Andrea (Rick) James of Logan, Ohio; granddaughters, Ashley Ross of McLeansville, N.C., Kristine Ross of Norwalk, and Tamara Oakley of Florida; grandsons, Cole and Clay James of Logan, Michael Oakley and Shawn Oakley of Florida; extended family, children, Debbie Wobser of Norwalk, Gail Bales of Colorado, Lawrence E. Ross Jr. of Norwalk, Thomas Ross of Norwalk; and numerous other grandchildren; sisters, Louise Allen of Norwalk, Pat (Mike) Cambra of Norwalk, Dorothy (Harold) Goodsite of Sweetwater, Tenn.; brother, Jerry (Jean) Ross of Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his siblings, William A. Ross, Mary Jo April, Betty Estep, and Kathleen Burley.Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk, the Rev. Kenneth Morman will officiate.
