Cops hunt suspected killer of former Sandusky man

Police identified Traquan Workman, 20, of Columbus, as the person of interest in the death of Sandusky native Donavan Clemens, 46, and have since filed a warrant for his arrest."We are looking for him," Columbus police spokeswoman Denise Alex-Bouzounis said.Police believe Donavan was the victim of an "apparent robbery-turned-deadly," Alex-Bouzounis said.Police were called to Hamilton Avenue in Columbus on Feb. 5 for a man found "bloody and disoriented," according to a Columbus police report. Officers found the victim, identified as Clemens, with a gunshot wound to the head, according to Alex-Bouzounis. Clemens was rushed to Columbus' OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where he later died on Feb. 8.Clemens was born in Sandusky in April 1971, and he attended Sandusky High School. He played for the football team and, in 2016, was inducted into Sandusky High School's Athletic Hall of Fame along with the rest of the school's 1987 team.He formed a construction company, E.L Grant Construction, which has operated in Columbus for more than 20 years, his obituary stated.Clemens' funeral took place Feb. 17 in Columbus.
