Man pleads guilty in sex case

NORWALK — A Greenwich man accused of raping a child pleaded guilty to a lesser charge on Monday. Tyquail B. Mansare, 24, of the first block of Senior Drive, pleaded guilty to one amended count of attempted felonious assault, a fourth-degree felony. Mansare pleaded guilty to the single charge in exchange for the dismissal of one count of sexual battery, a third-degree felony; one count of gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony and one count of failure to comply with underage alcohol laws, an unclassified misdemeanor, according to the Huron County Court of Common Pleas. Mansare is scheduled to be sentenced on June 10. Background Mansare was indicted by a Huron County grand jury in June 2025 on the following charges: • One count of rape, a first-degree felony • One count of sexual battery, a third-degree felony • One count of gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony • One count of failure to comply with underage alcohol laws, an unclassified misdemeanor According to Mansare's indictment, the crimes took place on or about Sept. 9, 2024, when Mansare allegedly engaged in "sexual conduct" with a child "by force or threat of force."
