"This certification confirms that the Bellevue Hospital meets the Accreditation Commission for Health Care's rigorous national standards for sleep care, including patient evaluation, diagnosis and ongoing treatment. Accreditation is a formal process that demonstrates a health care organization's commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement. Organizations undergo a comprehensive review every three years, along with a mid-cycle evaluation at 18 months, to ensure continued compliance. "Our goal is to provide patients with timely, accurate diagnoses and personalized care that improves their overall health and quality of life," said Loretta Nichols, the hospital's sleep disorders center manager. "This recognition reflects the expertise of our team and our commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality sleep services close to home." Sleep disorders affect an estimated 50 million to 70 million Americans, and about one in three adults does not get the recommended amount of sleep.
