Health dept. relocating office in Norwalk

SANDUSKY — The Erie County Health Department and Erie County Community Health Center will relocate their office in Norwalk later this week. Effective Wednesday, all operations currently located at 34 Executive Drive will move to a more centralized facility at 134 Cleveland Road, Norwalk. It's located near Star Diner. This move reflects a commitment to enhancing accessibility and service quality for residents in the region. The new Cleveland Road facility offers a larger footprint, providing families with additional space and a more comfortable environment for: • Women's health • Pediatrics • Clinical health services • Community outreach programs • Mental health visits • Women, Infants and Children Program consultations Patients and Women, Infants and Children Program participants with appointments scheduled for April 22 and beyond will be seen at thenew Cleveland Road location. "Our goal has always been to meet the community where they are," Erie County health commissioner Pete Schade said. "Moving to 134 Cleveland Road allows us to offer a more centralized hub for our vital health services." The relocation is particularly significant for the Women, Infants and Children Program, which serves as a cornerstone of nutritional support for local families. "We are thrilled to welcome our families into this new space," added Andrea Caudill, a registered nurse and the community health center's Women, Infants and Children Program director for Erie and Huron counties. "The additional room will allow for a more streamlined experience for our clients, making it easier for them to access the resources and support necessary for the health and well-being of their children."
