Perkins police, Parkvue team up on training

PERKINS TWP. — Those at The Parkvue Community recently thanked Perkins police officers for "taking the time to work with our team on an active shooter and hostage response drill," which recently occurred at this Sandusky-area facility. "This was only a training exercise, our facility was never in danger, but the experience provided valuable hands-on learning that helps us stay prepared and aware," according to a community statement. "We truly appreciate the professionalism and support shown by the officers throughout the process,"it read. "Opportunities like this make a meaningful difference in keeping our team informed and ready. While we hope we never have to use this training, we're thankful to be better prepared because of it." Perkins police officers also extended appreciation to Parkvue. "Preparedness saves lives," according to the department. "Training, like this, ensures both our officers and community members are ready to respond effectively in high-stress situations."
