Watch the eclipse at the Sidney Frohman Planetarium

SANDUSKY — You can view Monday's solar eclipse from the area's only building dedicated to space education. Residents can visit the Sidney Frohman Planetarium from 12:30 to 4 p.m. for a special eclipse program. The planetarium is located behind Sandusky High School. Planetarium director Lois Wolf said guests can observe the eclipse through a telescope in the facility's observatory. Additionally, a live feed of the astronomical event will be available from NASA. Richard Gallagher, of the Sandusky Children's Museum, will also bring activities for children. Those who attend are eligible to receive a free pair of eclipse glasses. Only about 120 pairs will be available, Wolf said. "It doesn't happen very often that the shadow crosses the United States, so people should be excited about it," Wolf said.
