Running into the Hall of Fame

The 1971 Sandusky High School cross-country team that finished runner-up in the state championships was inducted into the Sandusky Athletic Hall of Fame — along with the 1987 football team and five individuals — Saturday in the school cafeteria at the 27th annual banquet attended by a record turnout of more than 450 people.The team runners in attendance consisted of, front row left to right; Bob Fair, Tom Hanlon (representing son Tom Hanlon), Kathy Faltys (representing brother Tom Hanlon), Pam Straziuso (representing brother Tim Wilk), head coach Wes Hartsook, assistant coach Rod Litz and Paul Leslie. Back row: Ernie Ferguson, Eric Brown, Frank Sparks, Joe Karis, Jim Gosser, Brent Fahrer, Greg Opp, Jim Rosino, Steve Lasnoski and Osmond Pearson.
