Apparel, accessories and more at Kroger

SANDUSKYIt was in 2012 that Kroger first decided to include an apparel section in their expanded Kroger Marketplace in Mansfield. The one-stop-shop test, to keep up with customer demand and to stay competitive, was a success and now, Sandusky's Kroger is following suit.When the newly expanded Kroger Marketplace opens its doors Wednesday, customers will have a wide variety of apparel to browse through, such as casual wear, active wear, workwear, hoodies, jackets, bags, footwear and numerous accessories."Every store is different as far as selection goes," said Kroger spokesperson Jennifer Jarnell. "But it's good quality product and it's been doing well in other Kroger Marketplace stores."Specific types of apparel offered will include familiar brand names such as Champion, New Balance, Fila and Levi Strauss & Co. and private brands such as Cascade, Great Northwest Indigo, Curfew, Michael Morgan, Kids Corner, Fission and GNW.Sandusky's Kroger Marketplace will also have merchandise branded for local school districts. A portion of all sales of these items will directly benefit the corresponding district. On opening day, there will be a fashion show from 1-2 p.m. featuring area students modeling clothing that will be available in the new Kroger Essential Apparel section.Sandusky's Kroger Marketplace opens at 8 a.m. Wednesday.The fashion essentials department of the new Kroger Marketplace will offer guests the chance to find clothing as well as groceries and home goods.
