GREENWICH — Huron freshman Braden Hall fired a no-hitter Saturday, lifting the Tigers to a 4-1 non-conference baseball win over South Central. Hall allowed one run (unearned) while walking two. He struck out nine as Huron improved to 5-2 this season. Landon Hohler lined two hits and scored twice for the Tigers while Noah Maloney had two singles and a run scored. Casey Cox singled and drove in two for Huron. South Central dropped to 1-5-1. Huron travels to Edison on Monday for a key early-season Sandusky Bay Conference Bay Division matchup. Edison edged St. Paul 3-2 in the first game before St. Paul topped Perkins 13-2 in six innings. Against Perkins, Stella Brown had two singles, two triples and four runs scored for the Chargers (5-2) while Adison Wechtner doubled, singled twice, scored three runs and drove in a run. Natalie Desautels added three singles, three runs and two RBI while Lariah McMinn had two singles, two runs scored and two RBI. Alayna Wade led the Pirates (4-5) with three singles, a triple, four RBI and two runs scored. The Lady Red won all four relays — 4x100 (52.45), 4x200 (1:50.05), 4x400 (4:16.04) and 4x800 (10:38.05) — to pile up important points. Amerie Wagner won the high jump with a best effort of 5-0 while Lilly Sosa won the pole vault with a 10-6. Kameron Koch won the 800 meters in 2:34.22. Wagner finished second in the 200 (26.39) and Hallie McCarthy was second in the 400 (1:03.15). Natalie Littlejohn was second in the long jump (15-5.25). For the Bellevue boys, Evan Bova won the 800 (2:06.87) and the Redmen won three field events: Ethan Gish (high jump, 6-0), Jeremiah Tuttamore (pole vault, 11-6) and Caden Cramer (discus, 141-2.5). The Redmen finished second in five relays. Other runner-up finishes for the Redmen included Mason Flicker (long jump, 18-1.25); Cooper Moyer (100, 11.34), James Henderson (3200, 10:13.58).
