Sandusky Library highlights April events

SANDUSKY — Those at the Sandusky Library recently previewed some notable events happening this month at its facility, 114 W. Adams St., Sandusky. Among them: For everyone • All month — Stop by readers' advisory to enjoy the Spring Mini Art Show, which includes spring-inspired art created by our patrons. For adults • 1 p.m. Saturday — The library will host the Local Author Fair. Come out to see about 20 area authors, learn about their craft and purchase books. There will be raffle giveaways during the event. Following the fair, at 3:30 p.m., learn about getting published in today's market. 12 p.m. April 21 — The Lunch and Learn series continues with a celebration of America 250, focusing on the Milan Canal. For seniors • 2 p.m. April 14 — Professionals will provide information about wills and estates and justice. • 10 a.m. April 21 — Professionals will provide advice on real estate. For youth and families • 10 a.m. April 18 — Science Saturday will allow people to explore rain and the water cycle with fun experiments and activities at this program that requires registration. Families may register at events.sanduskylib.org. • April 25 — National Astronomy Day takes place all morning long. Enjoy safe solar viewing, telescope displays, planetarium shows, hands-on kids' activities and telescope-building for ages 10 and older. Outdoor fun is weather permitting. • 10 a.m. April 28 — Join in for a bilingual storytime in recognition of El Dia de los Niños, Children's Day. • 10 a.m. April 30 — Young children and their caregivers are invited to attend Jellybean Day
