Report: Man caught watching porn, drinking beer at library

SANDUSKY — Police cited a man Tuesday who allegedly drank beer and watched pornographic videos inside a public library. The man, a 40-year-old Sandusky resident, was cited with a minor misdemeanor for having an open container of alcohol in a public place. At about 7:15 p.m., a citizen told a Sandusky police officer that a man was drinking beer and watching porn on a library computer, according to a police report. An officer found the man watching a porn video with several opened and unopened cans of beer. When police asked the man for his name, he allegedly first gave his brother's before giving his actual name, the report states. He allegedly told an officer he gave an incorrect name at first because "he did not want it in the paper that he was drinking at the library and watching porn," the report states. Police gave the man his citation and he was banned from the library for 60 days, the report states. An officer told him he'd be charged with trespassing if he returned to the library while banned.
