PERKINS TWP. — They truly care about hair.So much so that siblings Alfonz and Sharece Clinton opened up a speciality store specializing in the product.They recently unveiled Zari's Salon and Beauty Supply at 220 W. Perkins Ave., across the street from U.S. Bank and Cheap Tobacco.Their goal: help people improve their look and, in turn, self-esteem."We want to beautify people," Sharece said. "I'm passionate about hair. If people like their hair, they feel beautiful and feel like a whole new person."Siblings Alfonz and Sharece Clinton are the co-owners of Zari's Salon and Beauty Supply on West Perkins Avenue in Sandusky. The shop specializes in catering to female products, such as hair, clothing and jewelry.Named after Sharece's grandson, Zari's primarily caters to female clientele, selling human hair — including Brazilian, Peruvian and remy brands — beauty products, clothing, jewelry and more. A salon will also debut in the coming weeks."We pretty much sell everything that a woman needs to get herself together," Sharece said.Not only does Zari's offer items not easily found in the greater Sandusky area, but it also sells them at reasonable prices, Alfonz said."There are not too many places like this," Alfonz said. "I love business and selling to people. But, most importantly, we are dedicated to keeping people happy, and that is the only way we are going to grow."Zari's is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.
