PORT CLINTON — The Huron baseball team scored 13 runs in the fourth inning of a 15-0 Sandusky Bay Conference Bay Division win Monday. Braden Hall homered, singled, had six runs batted in and scored twice for the Tigers (3-1, 1-0 Bay). Grant Periat added a single, double, two RBI and two runs. Grant Humphrey didn't allow a hit in his three innings on the mound, striking out six. Gabe DiSanto and Max Jacobs each added scoreless innings for Huron. Clyde (1-1) led 6-2 into the last frame, but the Tigers scored twice to make things interesting. Nico Carroll had two singles, a run batted in and a run scored for the Flyers. At the plate, Smiley doubled, drove in two and scored one run while Owen Patchen and Alex Dowell each tallied two singles, two RBI and two runs. With one out, Noah Helton reached base on a Whippets error. He got to second on the play, then scored when a ball hit by Brady Singer turned into another Shelby error. Caiden Wilson had two singles for Norwalk (4-1) while Helton scored twice. Helton was the winning pitcher, going the final two innings for the Truckers, striking out three. Port Clinton (4-2, 1-0 SBC Bay) jumped out to a 3-0 lead then added three runs in the fifth inning to secure the victory. Micaela Wiechman doubled and drove in three runs for the Redskins while Alaina Seiser had two singles, two runs scored and two RBI.
