Brink retires after 40 years of service in Sandusky

SANDUSKY — Payne Nickles & Co. recently announced the retirement of David Brink, a certified public accountant, marking the culmination of a distinguished 40-year career and decades of leadership within the Sandusky-based firm. "As one of Payne Nickles & Co.'s founding partners, Dave played an integral role in shaping it into the trusted regional accounting and advisory firm it is today," according to a company statement. "Since becoming an owner in 1992, he helped guide the firm through significant growth, expanded service offerings and the continued development of its professional team," it added. The statement continued: "During his tenure as partner-in-charge of the firm's audit practice, Dave provided leadership across both the Sandusky and Norwalk offices. He brought deep industry expertise in construction, manufacturing and employee benefit plans and was instrumental in strengthening the firm's audit and attestation services. His commitment to technical excellence and client service helped position the firm for long-term success. " Beyond his client responsibilities, Brink was actively involved in advancing the accounting profession and in the local community. As a peer reviewer in a nationwide program, he evaluated the quality control policies and procedures of other certified public accountant firms, "reinforcing his dedication to upholding high professional standards," the statement read. "Dave also supported and served a number of community organizations, including Erie County's Serving Our Seniors, the American Red Cross, Sandusky Sailing Club and Sandusky Junior Sailors."
