Ramaswamy to host town hall on Lake Erie

LAKESIDE — Republican candidate for governor Vivek Ramaswamy has announced he will host a town hall meeting to discuss how to protect Lake Erie. The Protecting Our Lake town hall will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Lakeside Chautauqua Drackett Hall, 420 E. Sixth St., Lakeside. The Ottawa County Republican Party announced the event on Facebook. The campaign is asking people who plan to attend to register for the event at the official campaign website, vivekforohio.com. The meeting is listed under "events," which can be accessed from the "action center" tab at the top of the page. Ramaswamy is a Republican candidate for governor who has been endorsed by President Donald Trump. He's considered the frontrunner for the GOP nomination, although there are two other Republican candidates on the May 5 primary ballot: Heather Hill and Casey Putsch. Dr. Amy Acton is the Democratic candidate for governor, and Don Kissick is the Libertarian nominee.
