SANDUSKY — Anyone hungry or thirsty and in need of a pit stop can now visit the Sandusky Quick Stop.The city's newest convenience store recently opened on East Market Street and is located smack-dab in downtown.It offers name-brand products — ranging from snacks, chips, candy, drinks, cigarettes, alcohol and basic toiletries — at discounted prices."We're serving the downtown community because there are no other immediate places for bar-goers or restaurant-goers to grab and get something quick," said owner John Hall, who also cuts hair and works as a professional stylist at Benny B's Barber Shop in Sandusky. "This is the perfect stop for them to go."Hall co-owns the shop with Clay McFadden and credits Benny Byington of Benny B's on Decatur Street for helping jump-start his new venture. Landon Newton serves as the convenience store's general manager."If you come here, you will be supporting good, local, young entrepreneurs who want to make a difference in our city," said Hall, a 2008 Sandusky High School graduate. "We all want to be part of historical downtown. Sandusky itself is coming up, and we want to be part of this magnificent movement."Sandusky Quick Stop, a new convenience store in downtown Sandusky, offers a variety of grab-and-go items such as basic toiletries, tobacco and drinks.
