Libraries to feature Cleveland stadiums, Jackie Kennedy

MILAN — The Milan-Berlin Library District closes out its March roster of exciting adult programs with two history-centric special events sure to appeal to history buffs and community members alike: • Stadiums of Cleveland will be presented by Greg Deegan from noon to 1 p.m on Saturday in the Milan Public Library Olak Community Room, 19 Church St, Milan. Stadiums of Cleveland is the perfect program for those who love both local history and sports. Presenter Greg Deegan will chronicle the history of area sporting arenas — from League Park and Municipal Stadium to Progressive Field and Cleveland Browns Stadium — discussing not only the sports teams housed and celebrated there but concerts, civic pageants and religious events happening in these buildings, as well. • Jackie, Oh! A Living History Portrayal of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis will be performed by actress Rose Gabriele from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Berlin Heights Public Library Hinman Community Room, 4 E. Main St., Berlin Heights. For those who enjoy seeing historical figures brought to life, Jackie, Oh! A Living History Portrayal of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis is a dramatic staging and portrayal by actress Rose Gabriele, whose solo performance will explore the extraordinary life of President John F. Kennedy's first lady. Jacqueline Kennedy guided the American people through moments of profound national tragedy, leaving an enduring impression that captured the heart of a nation. These events are both sponsored by the Friends of the Milan-Berlin Public Library and are free and open to the public.
