Firelands Health honors 40-year-plus employees

HURON TWP. — Firelands Health hosted its annual employee recognition banquet on March 12 at Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron. The event honored employees for benchmark years of service. A total of 324 employees received recognition for their combined 4,010 years of service, celebrating milestones ranging from five to 45 years. Employees recognized for 40 years of service were: • Lisa Fryer, respiratory services • Glenda Gray, authorization and denial management • Sheila Pfanner, home health Employees recognized for 45 years of service were: • Joseph Dellisanti, plant operations • Sandra Ebert, nursing • Julie Etherington, home health • Karen James, home health • Mary Poggiali, nursing. "It always amazes me how many of our employees have given decades of their lives in service to health care in our area," stated President and CEO Jeremy Normington-Slay. "This is truly commendable and something that we don't take for granted. Our staff members are the greatest part of Firelands Health, and I appreciate you all."
