Vermilion students to perform 'Grease: School Edition'

VERMILION — Vermilion High School's performing arts department will bring the classic musical "Grease: School Edition" to the stage this weekend, featuring a large student cast and three scheduled performances. "Grease: School Edition" is a family-friendly adaptation of the well-known musical, following the story of Danny and Sandy as they navigate high school life, friendships and identity in the 1950s. The production combines music, dance and student-led stage work, highlighting the school's performing arts program and providing opportunities for students both on stage and behind the scenes. Vermilion's production opens at 7 p.m. on Friday inside the Sailor Showcase Theater at Vermilion High School, 1250 Sanford St. Additional performances are set for 7 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are available for purchase online in advance or at the door, if seats remain. Pre-sale tickets are $13 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. At-the-door prices increase to $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. Door sales are first-come, first-served and accepted by cash or Venmo only. People can visit vermilionmusic.net for online sales. Organizers recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time due to assigned seating. Admission is required for anyone age 3 and older. The production is directed by Kim Judd and includes about 75 Vermilion High School students participating as cast and crew.
