Oxford Hustlers look forward to 2026

Editor's note: George Clark serves as a news reporter for the Oxford Hustlers 4-H Club. A part of the Erie County 4-H youth development network, the Oxford Hustlers 4-H Club organization — an area covering children who live all across Erie County and meet in Oxford Township — teaches leadership, citizenship and life skills. MILAN — Spring is on its way, and that means another year of 4-H. Children interested in joining a 4-H Club and taking projects to the fair must be 8 years old and in third grade as of Jan. 1, 2026. Children between the ages of 5 and 8 years old or in kindergarten through second grade as of Jan. 1 can become Cloverbud members, who participate in fun activities and do a group project for the county fair, Aug. 12-23. The Oxford Hustlers 4-H club hosted its first meeting of he year on March 8 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Milan. At the meeting, club members elected their officers for 2026. Club members volunteered for the office they wanted to run for, and then the children in the club put it to a vote. No matter the club, 4-H forms children into strong leaders with lots of opportunities for fun, service and learning new things.
