Huron announces 2026 summer event schedule

HURON — Huron officials recently unveiled the city's 2026 summer schedule of live events for the Huron Boat Basin & Amphitheater, 330 Main St., Huron. This year's lineup is packed with live music, family movies, festivals and community celebrations fit for all ages. All events are free and open to the public. Boppin' on the Basin On Saturday nights, the boat basin comes alive with free live music. This year's Boppin' on the Basin summer concert series features an exciting lineup of tribute bands, classic rock favorites and local talent, including: • June 13: Swamps of Jersey, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band • June 20: Ron Howard & The Band Cruisin', featuring music from the 1950s through today • July 4: Cleveland's Backstreet Blues Band and E.T. King & The Determination, two soulful blues bands from right here in Ohio • July 25: Rumours, Ohio's premier Fleetwood Mac tribute band and a Christmas in July staple • Aug. 1: Wayne's World Band, music from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and more • Aug. 8: New Frontiers, "Don't stop believing" about this Journey tribute band making its Huron debut • Aug. 15: SuperBeatle, a tribute to early-to-mid period Beatles music Special events also include Huron Rotary Rocks on June 27; Huron River Fest from July 10-11, the 30th-annual K-96 Summer Jam on July 18 and the All Classics Festival on Aug. 8. The city government thanked local businesses, area organizations and partners that all made this series possible. Their support allows the city to continue offering high-quality, free and low-cost programming that enhances community life while driving meaningful economic impact throughout Huron and Erie County. Arts at the Amphitheater Join the city on Sunday evenings for our Arts at the Amphitheater live music series featuring performances. Scheduled performances include: • July 19: Fred Zivic & His International Sound Machine Polka Band; Polka music is back at the amphitheater this summer. • July 26: Erie County OSU Alumni Band; Gear up for Ohio State football with this local alumni band. • Aug. 2: Eric Everett Jazz Trio; Get ready for smooth jazz to fill the air over Huron. • Aug. 9: Sinatra & More; This is a tribute to Frank Sinatra. Movies by the River Grab a blanket, pillow and your favorite stuffed animal and come down to the boat basin for Wednesday night's Movies by the River.
