Yost named a guardian angel

SANDUSKY — Those at the Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing recently congratulated a student, Aubrey Yost, who went above and beyond to care for a patient. At Firelands Health, a guardian angel is a care team member who was nominated by a patient for making a difference during that person's stay. Yost also earned a pin she can wear on her nursing uniform. "She received this award for being kind, compassionate, engaging and sincere," according to a school statement. "Her desire to get to know her patients beyond just their diagnosis is impressive, and her level of professionalism, insight, and attention provided comfort for the patient and family." The school underscored how Yost always "goes the extra mile for her patients." One recent patient/family member shared how, "She is really just an angel that we all needed in our lives, and she will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all of our family members."
