Hogue's the 'pinnacle' of grocery stores

BELLEVUE — Hogue's IGA in Bellevue recently received the Pinnacle Award from the Ohio Grocers Association. Those representing the local grocery store — including its owner, Dwight Hogue — said they're "incredibly honored" during a celebration and presentation at the Kilbourne Street location. "The Pinnacle Award is presented annually to recognize overall excellence in retail grocery operations across Ohio," according to a statement from Hogue's, which recently celebrated its 65th anniversary in business. "This prestigious award evaluates stores based on creativity, merchandising, innovation, human resources, community relations and overall successful operation." Receiving this recognition "is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team," the statement read. "From our employees who go above and beyond every day to the loyal customers and community who support us, this achievement belongs to all of you." The management team then underscored its mission statement. "At Hogue's IGA, we are proud to serve our community and remain committed to providing exceptional service, quality products and a welcoming hometown grocery experience," the statement read. "Thank you for being part of our journey."
