Woman sentenced for role in 2025 burglary

BELLEVUE — A woman arrested in July 2025 during a search warrant in Bellevue stemming from a burglary pleaded guilty to her role and was sentenced to prison on Monday. Jocelyn D. Caudill, 46, who has addresses in both Sandusky and Clyde, pleaded guilty to one count of complicity to burglary and one count of complicity to attempted felonious assault, both third-degree felonies. Caudill pleaded guilty to the two charges in exchange for two counts of complicity in the commission of an offense, first-and fourth-degree felonies, to be dismissed so long as Caudill "agrees to testify truthfully" against her co-defendant Dustin M. Grubb and "any other unnamed co-defendant,' according to court documents. Sandusky County Common Pleas Court Judge Jon Ickes sentenced Caudill to serve three years in prison, and she will receive credit for about four months served in jail, according to court records. Under the terms of her sentencing, Riley will be placed on a maximum term of three years of post-release control. Caudill and her co-defendant, Dustin M. Grubb, 41, of the 1000 block of Monroe St., Bellevue, were both indicted by a Sandusky County grand jury in August 2025. Grubb was indicted on four felony charges, including aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery, both first-degree felonies. As of late Wednesday, Grubb remains at the Sandusky County Jail on no bond and has an upcoming court hearing scheduled for 11 a.m. on April 15, according to court records. Background The investigation into both Grubb and Caudill first began on the morning of July 9, 2025, when multiple law enforcement agencies, including the SWAT team, executed a search and several arrest warrants at a house located in the 1000 block of Monroe St. The operation was related to an active investigation by the Sandusky County Sheriff's Office into an incident that occurred the previous night within Sandusky County, according to a news release from the Bellevue Police Department.
