Programs for all-ages available in March

SANDUSKY — Here are some highlights from this month's events at the Sandusky Library. Some of these events do require registration. People can visit events.sanduskylib.org to sign up and for more information. All month • Patrons can pick up a mini canvas at the readers' advisory desk in preparation for the spring mini art show. Artwork will be displayed during April. We encourage you to get creative. Adult programs • 2:30-3:30 p.m. on March 12 and March 26 — Do you need a little help learning about your phone or new device? Maybe you want to explore our digital lending resources like Hoopla, Libby or Kanopy? Stop by one of our Ten Minute Tech programS to get some guidance. Need more assistance? Call the Reference department to book a librarian. • March 21 — Pay homage to America 250 with a local history program They Brought Their Music With Them: A History of Early Music in Sandusky. Learn all about contributions from the various cultures that emigrated to Sandusky. • Noon on March 26 — We encourage attendees to discover this month's cookbook discussion, "Tasting History," by Max Miller. Pick up a book, then bring a dish to share while we discuss our culinary adventures. • 2 p.m. on March 28 — Learn all about art deco in Ohio architecture. Families, youth programs • 10 a.m. March 14 — Riley's Angels will visit youth services with therapy dogs • Week of March 16 — Mini Movers, Baby Bookworms, Toddler Tales and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) storytimes begin • 10 a.m. March 21 — This month's Science Saturday is all about color. Explore the science behind rainbows and brighten up your day with these experiments and activities. Registration is required as space is limited. • 10 a.m. March 28 — Families with children who are Serious About Scrabble are invited to join our tournament • 2 p.m. March 30 — Children ages 8-15 are encouraged to join our Super Smash Bros. Tournament. If you have a controller, you are welcome to use it.
