Tashmoo Park cruise | Sandusky Register 75 years ago, 1941: A popular excursion on the Steamer Put-in-Bay from Sandusky to Tashmoo Park, near Detroit, was scheduled for later in July. So many were requesting a longer ride that management decided to run the 225-mile trip. The boat would arrive in Tashmoo Park about 3 p.m. with sufficient time to picnic in the grove and trade with the Walpole Indians who had stands in the park with Indian crafts.
