Learn coding skills at library

HURON — The Huron Public Library, 333 Williams St., will offer a variety of programs for all ages in March, including returning series, special performances and hands-on technology events. Here are some featured events: • Girls Who Code Coding Club, 4 p.m. on Thursdays from March 5 to April 14 — Students in grades 3-6 can learn coding skills in a supportive environment aimed at encouraging girls in science and technology. Boys may also register. • Music by Doug Wood & Darren Frate, 2 p.m. on March 15 — Cleveland guitarist Doug Wood joins bass player Darren Frate for an afternoon performance of guitar-driven world, jazz and folk instrumental music. • Maker Studio: Crafting Technology Open Hours, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 28 — Patrons can explore the library's crafting technology, including the Cricut Maker, but bring your own materials, 3D printer, Glowforge laser printer and software such as Garageband, Final Cut Pro, iMovie and Photoshop.
