Get ready for Restaurant Week 2026

SANDUSKY — Sandusky Restaurant Week returns this week, celebrating the creativity, flavor and locally owned dining scene that makes Sandusky special. For 11 days, March 5-15, locals and visitors alike are invited to explore exclusive menus crafted just for Restaurant Week. Sandusky Restaurant Week is produced and coordinated by Greater Sandusky Partnership, a regional chamber and economic development organization. The 2026 event is supported by Peerless Ovens, a manufacturer of cooking equipment for more than 100 years. "The purpose of Restaurant Week is to support our incredible eateries and food entrepreneurs, especially during a slower season," said McKenzie Spriggs, senior director of destination management for the partnership. "This is one of the coolest times to be a local. We get to experience off-menu items and support our small businesses that support our community." Entrepreneurs expressed their excitement to participate in this year's event. "Being a part of Restaurant Week gives us the opportunity to get creative and do something out of the box," said Lauren Kruiger, owner of Wake Up and Waffle. "We've often found that some of our new items make it to our regular menu after customers overwhelmingly love the new dish. It is a wonderful way to show the creativity of the local food scene and support small business." Come to kick-off party The event will begin with the Sandusky Restaurant Week VIP Kick-Off Party, featuring remarks from Tony Geftos, a five-time regional Emmy Award-winning journalist and anchor of 13ABC Action News. Geftos regularly spotlights area eateries in his popular Dine in the 419 segment, helping shine a light on the region's growing culinary scene. VIP tickets include complimentary hors d'oeuvres and one beverage. The event offers an opportunity for restaurant owners, sponsors, community leaders and food enthusiasts to gather and officially toast the start of Restaurant Week.
