Margaretta Schools registering kindergartners

news@sanduskyregister.comCASTALIAMargaretta Schools is now scheduling appointments for kindergarten registration and screening for the 2016-17 school year.To schedule an appointment, call 419-684-5322.Registration will take place on the following dates and times:• May 12: 4:30-6 p.m. and 6:30-8 p.m.• May 13: 8:30-10 a.m., 10:30 a.m. to noon and 12:45-2:15 p.m.Any child who is at least five years old by Sept. 30 can attend kindergarten in the upcoming school year.At their registration appointment, parents must bring their child's birth certificate, up-to-date immunization record and social security number, as well as a legal driver's license or ID, two proofs of residency, a completed registration packet and proof of custody, if applicable. Children are required to attend, because screening will also take place at the registration.Families living outside the district who want to enroll in Margaretta Schools for the 2016-17 school year must first complete an open enrollment application. Registration and screening will then take place after notification of open enrollment acceptance.
