Ida Rupp offer fun, learning in March

PORT CLINTON —From painting workshops and scavenger hunts to book clubs and creative crafts, Ida Rupp Public Library and its branches in Marblehead and the Erie Islands are offering a variety of programs for all ages. Among some featured events: Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison St., Port Clinton • Teen Dungeons & Dragons, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on March 2 — Teens in grades 6-12 can join an ongoing fantasy tabletop adventure. All materials will be provided. • Lucky Clover Scavenger Hunt, from March 16-21 — Kids can follow leprechaun clues through the children's area to earn a golden coin. • Paint Together, from 4:30-6 p.m. on March 23 — This is a guided painting program for adults. Registration is required, which opens March 9. Marblehead Peninsula Branch Library, 710 W Main St., Lakeside-Marblehead • Trivia for Prizes, from 11 a.m. to noon on March 11 — Test your knowledge of the 1930s through the 1960s for chances to win books and DVDs. • Pulitzer Prize Book Club, from 4-5 p.m. on March 12 — Discuss "A Thousand Acres" by Jane Smiley. • Paws for Reading, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on March 26 — Kids can read to therapy dog Sophie in 15-minute sessions.
